I am 37 years old, and I have 3 kids.
I am estranged from a large part of my family both willingly and unwillingly.
That being said, I have no examples of my childhood available to share.
I get told a story on occasion, but I have no images to share with my children.
It has been one thing I really wish I could change..

To remedy how this has made me feel over the years, I have been trying hard the past 15 years to take as many photos of my 3 kids as possible.
It has only been in the past 2 years I have started my own photography business and only in the past 6 months since I decided to delve into lifestyle, maternity, birth and newborn..

My story is long with trials, tribulations, and triumphs.
As a domestic violence survivor, documenting happy moments is a passion.
I also understand those unhappy moments are important as well..

Take a moment and think of some of your fondest memories of your childhood.
Cookies with grandma, fishing with dad, shopping with mom? Do you have any pictures of those moments? I don’t..

Some of the moments I wish I could have captured have long since passed.
Things such as nursing my children by the light of a window, baking cookies, the birth itself.
Now I have a 10, 12 and 15-year-old.
Those moments are so long gone and just a tug of the heartstrings in my mind.
Think of how amazing it would be to have someone catch those moments for you? You can go back on birthday number 18 and have what I call a mom moment in your bedroom wiping your tears away before they drop into your coffee or wine..
