REU-Raptor Research is a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Site located at Boise State University which is funded by a 3-year grant from the National Science Foundation.
Undergraduates visit Boise State each summer and engage in biological research focused on birds of prey under a research mentor.
Research mentors from Boise State University, The Peregrine Fund, Inc., Intermountain Bird Observatory, and College of Western Idaho help guide the research projects of participants.
Research projects focus on eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls.
Participants receive a summer stipend, residence hall accommodations, and travel support.
Their research findings are presented at an interdisciplinary Summer Research Conference on the campus of Boise State University each summer as well as at professional conferences across the country.
