Detailed description is Parker Horses has been breeding horses for over 75 years. They specialize in cutting, reining, roping, and ranch work. The late Verner V. Parker knew how important a good horse was. He continually upgraded his herd beginning with the purchase of Popcorn, a black stallion, in Arizona in 1940. Popcorn was among the first to be registered (2706) in the AQHA. Popcorn stood his entire life at the Parker Ranch. We kept a son, Pop’s Diamond; a grandson, Kiowa Diamond and presently we have a great grandson, Sonita Kiowa. "Soda Pop" as we call him has heavily influenced the breeding at Riverfront Ranch, but he is now retired at the age of 25. In 1957 we bought Rio Leo 89’er by Leo and out of 89’er, a leading producer by King. In 1982 we were members of a joint venture that purchased Docs Superstar Bar by Doc Bar out of World’s Champion Cutting Mare and NCHA Hall of Fame inductee, Annie Glo. After moving from Texas, Doc’s Superstar Bar stood the remainder of his life at Riverfront. We currently stand a grandson, Senor Superstar. Dualin Freckle is by Dual Jazz out of a Freckles Flynt mare and has been standing stud for about ten years at Riverfront Ranch. Our newest stallion, He's My Kinda Cat is an own son of High Brow Cat out of a money earning mare, Autumn Dreams. His first foal crop will hit the ground in 2016. Our greatest achievement is that through the 75 years of producing registered quarter horses, we have continued to upgrade bloodlines and produce world class horses.. . Bred for cutting, reining, roping and ranch work, Parker Horses have won several cow horse futurities. We had a Reserve World’s Champion Jr. Working Cowhorse. We have bred and raised horses that have competed in the World Quarter Horse show in nearly every performance event.. . In 1998, Parker Horses received the prestigious Legacy Award from AQHA. This award was presented to Deryl Parker in recognition of 60 consecutive years of breeding and registering Quarter Horses. To date, Parker Horses has registered 1700 Quarter Horses.. . Parker Horses has been in western Oklahoma, 7.5 miles south and 5 miles west of Arnett, on the S. Canadian River since 1940.
