Detailed description is Bringing together craft food and cocktails with a delicious locally sourced and seasonally inspired menu, with a focus on oysters and fresh seafood. The Oyster Bar at Bayou on Bay will be moving to a larger space at the Herald Building in the Spring of 2014 and have the new name Rock and Rye Oyster House. Walking inside the building there will be the restaurant seating, followed by stairs leading up to a mezzanine. Under the mezzanine will be the long 25 foot bar and a lounge seating area, at the end of the building you’ll pass through double french doors out to the large covered and heated deck. It will boast a seasonal rotating menu with a focus on fresh seafood, local as much as possible, and bring a diverse cultural melting pot of cuisine to Downtown Bellingham. We will also offer a wide range of craft cocktails, 14 foreign and domestic beers on tap, and a great wine selection. It will be an alternative option to the pricey marina seafood restaurants, with great food, a fine dining experience with the casual, friendly family style service that bayou is known for.
