A long time ago, before the interwebz came into existence, a few crazy guys decided to get on their respective boats to see whose was the fastest. They raced around in several circles, and the winner got the Pinks...or something like that.. . Over the years, sailing has changed, although not much. Men and women of all ages still race around in circles trying to see who has the fastest boat--or in the case of a one-design event, who's able to navigate the racecourse the fastest. Instead of fighting for the Pinks, sailors now fight for a pickle dish, crystal chip bowl, or glass beer stein. . . In this ever changing world of sailing, where sailors jump from boat to boat and from crew to crew, it is nice to have a place where you can continue to learn. @sailingproblems is a place for newbies to ask questions, for seasoned salty dogs to share some insight, and for sailors to unite.
