Detailed description is SambaLa Samba School is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the best of Brazilian culture to the community via dance, music, and costume. SambaLá is Brazilian / American cultural group based in Boca Raton Florida, founded in Long Beach California in 1994, to help promote the Brazilian culture through music, dance and costume. SambaLá has performed over 700 shows in over two decades including the 2010 Rose Parade, the launch of the Rio Car in Korea, Dancing with the Stars, and was the founder of the world-wide project Unidos do Mundo in the year 2000 which brought samba groups together from over 19 countries to parade in the Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro. SambaLa invites everyone to be part of their drum corp and dance troupe. Students will have a chance to participate in the Rio de Janeiro style parade held once a year in Boca Raton Florida. SambaLa also allows for those less ambitious to parade in a beautiful carnival costumes made by the school’s costume designer, Doris de Hilster.
