The Reserve Component Transition Office is located across the street from the Transition Center on Ayers Ave, in Hamilton Trailer #14, Schofield Barracks, HI.. . All Soldiers who intend to ETS are required to schedule a transition briefing within 180 days prior to release from active duty. This office provides the mandatory Reserve Component Interview to separating Soldiers. . . Soldiers are briefed on the benefits and incentives of Army National Guard or Army Reserve membership, as well as duties and responsibilities of Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) assignment. . . Some of the benefits of Reserve Component membership include: Deployment Stabilization (up to 24 months); TRICARE Medical and Dental (TAMP)/180 days; TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS); pay for attending weekend meetings; exchange privileges; commissary privileges; space available air transportation; full-time Serviceman's Group Life Insurance; and eligibility to qualify for retired pay. Additionally, Soldiers who affiliate with the Reserve Component are still eligible for 100% Federal tuition assistance. . .
