He has been in the school supply industry since the late 1950's and wanted to being his own business serving all Middle Tennessee schools, daycare, and churches. The company originally started in the basement of their home and in 1996 moved to a warehouse in Gallatin. In 2001, the company had grown and purchased a 18,500 sq. ft. building also in Gallatin. It now includes a 6,000 sq. ft. store for teachers and parents. Both Glenn and Sharon are still active in the daily operations of the company. They want the company to stand out as widely diversified with a retail store front, an online catalog, and free delivery options. Over the years, the company has expanded into supplying and installing products including playground equipment, ground cover, stage curtains, school lockers, and custom installation of white marker boards. School Sales & Service is also a Certified Playground Safety Inspector by the National Recreation and Parks Association and handle all installation of all products sold. . .
