Detailed description is SE&M Constructors is a full service Electrical and Mechanical Contractor based out of Rocky Mount, NC. Our service division, Standard Electric, offers both electrical, mechanical, and plumbing services. In 1923 SE&M Constructors, or Standard Electric Company as it was called back then, began providing electrical service in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. In 1925, Standard Electric began selling household appliances. In 1927, the refrigeration service was added and the Frigidaire dealership was added a year later in 1928. Standard Electric installed the first air conditioning system in the Rocky Mount area at the time. Plumbing and pipefitting were added in 1937. In 1962, Standard Electric became a Carrier Air Conditioning dealer which has lasted now over 50 years. Today, SE&M Constructors specializes in HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing in both Industrial and Commercial environments. Our service division, Standard Electric, offers full service HVAC/Controls, Electrical, and Plumbing service both commercially and residentially. We also offer full service preventive maintenance for commercial and residential HVAC systems.
