STANDARD SABER SERVICES. ****************************. ****************************. . GENERAL STATEMENT . I do not have the machinery required to manufacture custom sabers from scratch, nor do I stock sabers to sell to customers. . . I specialize in installing custom electronics in existing sabers that the customer sends to me, as well as adding exterior modifications. . . Approximate time for project completion once your commission is finalized is about 3-5 months, depending on the nature of the commission and the number of other commissions I have on my plate at that time. Please note that this is an estimated time frame, commissions may sometimes take longer to complete, as this is merely a hobby for me that I have to squeeze in between other family and life responsibilities. The prices below are in USD and include the cost of all parts and labor (with the exception of the saber hilt itself, which the customer must send to me for customization). Custom Soundboard Installation:. $300. . -This service involves a full sound installation with Nano Biscotte v3 soundboard (two customizable sound banks), single color Luxeon Rebel or Cree LED (optional flash on clash upgrade for $30), 18650 3.7v lithium ion battery with recharge port, premium speaker (or bass speaker), and full chassis. . . This same service is also available with the NEC Spark 2 soundboard for $350 if you want a few extra features on your saber: three customizable sound banks, flash on clash, blade lock up effects, and blaster deflection effects. . . This same service is also available with the Plecter Labs Prizm soundboard for $400, with six customizable sound banks, flash on clash, blade lockup effects, blaster deflection effects, and full RGB color mixing with up to ten color profiles. . . Decorative blade plug and charger included. New dueling blade not included. . . *****************. . Custom Crossguard Soundboard Installation, with staggered ignition:. $425. . -Staggered ignition on the crossguard saber is where the main blade activates and then the two side blades activate with a half second delay, just like Kylo Ren's lightsaber in the new Force Awakens film. I offer this service using the Spark 2 for $400 (single color, no FOC, 3 sound fonts), Spark Color 2 for $470 (multiple color, FOC, 6 sound fonts), or Igniter 2 for $550 (multiple color, FOC, 16 sound fonts) soundboards; Spark Color 2 and Igniter 2 utilize the new X-Saber module that allows color changing on all three blades. While full color changing RGB is supported on Spark Color 2 and Igniter 2, we can also configure it such that it's just a single blade color with a FOC across all three blades if that is your preference as opposed to full color changing blades. . . *****************. . Shattered Weathering:. $30-$180. . -Give your lightsaber an ancient or battle damaged appearance. Price range reflects the intensity of the weathering that I can apply, from some minor damage here and there, to having barely survived an explosion. . . *****************. . Polishing, Chrome Plating, Nickel Plating:. $50+. . -On the opposite side of weathering is polishing, to give your saber a gorgeous, brand new appearance. I've partnered with a local shop here in Minnesota that offers exquisite mirror polishing, chrome plating, and nickel plating services. Got an old saber you want shiny again? Chrome finish on your MR/Hasbro Anakin or Vader saber chipping off? This is the service you're looking for. Price will vary based on the number of pieces to be polished or plated. . . *****************. . Powder Coating:. -$50+. . -Powdercoating involves spraying electrically charged colored powder onto a metal surface, then baking the piece so the powder cures into a very durable layer. Great for adding color accents such as black, gold, copper, or any color you can imagine, in both matte and shiny finishes. Price will vary based on the number and complexity of pieces to be powder coated. . . *****************. . Custom Sound Font:. $50. . -Want a totally unique set of sound effects designed specifically for your custom saber? Commission a custom sound font from me and we'll work together going back and forth until we arrive at the perfect sound for your saber. Can be formatted for either Plecter Labs soundboards or Naigon Electronic Creations soundboards. . . SHIPPING AND PAYMENT PROCESS. *********************************. *********************************. . -Please send me a message here on my Facebook customs page to work out all the details of your commission. I receive about 30-50 new messages every single day, so please allow me a few days to respond, and remember that sending multiple messages will only delay the process of getting a response, not speed it up. . . -Once the details of a commission and estimated completion time are finalized, I will provide the customer with my shipping address so they can send their saber to me for customization (or order it from the company of their choice and have it delivered straight to me, if they prefer. International customers will often choose this option to save on shipping costs). . . -Payment for the commission is made via PayPal. All prices listed here on my page are in USD and include the cost for parts and labor. Return shipping is generally $10 domestic for one saber, $30 international.. . -Once I receive payment I will order all the necessary parts and keep the customer updated on the progress of the build. . . -Once the commission is completed, I will post pictures (and sometimes video, depending on the nature of the commission) on my page and ship the saber back to the customer with tracking number provided. . . -Once the customer receives their completed saber, I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a positive review on my page, and if for some reason the commission process was not a 5/5 experience, please contact me first with any complaints so that we can try to work it out before leaving any negative ratings on my page. Customer satisfaction is very important to me. . . ************. ************. WARRANTY. ************. ************. . Electronics malfunction from time to time, it's just a fact of life. Luckily, I offer a pretty good warranty for my commission work. . . My warranty covers all non-user inflicted electronics malfunctions. If the electronics malfunction during normal use within the first 3 months, I will replace/repair the defective parts for free, and after 3 months I will repair/replace malfunctioning electronics at the cost of replacement parts. For example, if the LED stops working or the speaker blows, I consider that normal, non-user caused malfunction.. . My warranty does not cover user-inflicted damage to electronics, such as breaking wires while removing the chassis, or damaging the speaker by accidentally touching it with your finger, or submerging in water. . . Since I specialize in installing electronics into existing sabers provided by other manufacturers, I cannot warranty any damage or malfunction caused to the saber hilt itself, such as stripped retention screws or parts breaking off. . . Additional exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. . . In all situations where the customer decides to send their saber back to me for repairs covered under warranty, the customer covers shipping to me and I cover shipping back to the customer. In cases where the customer decides to send their saber back to me for repairs that are not covered under warranty, the customer is responsible for shipping both ways. . . Labor fees will generally not be charged for repairs, except in rare cases to be determined between myself and the customer. . . I reserve the right to alter this warranty at any time and for any reason. . . *****************. . And please remember, I am just one guy living at home who makes sabers for fun because it's a passion for me. I am not a large company, or even a small company, I don't have any employees, it's all me. So please be patient with me both in terms of message response time as well as build time for your commissions.
