Thanks.. . For ten years I have been traveling around Prince Edward Island shooting photos of landscapes and more recently birds and wildlife. If you wish to purchase any of my photos please contact me for sizes and pricing. . . Often I get asked if my photos are "manipulated" or "staged", so here's the answer. Yes, all of my photos are processed with Photoshop, some more than others. I shoot in RAW format which requires processing so that others can view them. Most photos go through the standard contrast, saturation, cropping, etc. and some get a touch up here and there if needed. As for my wildlife shots, my main concern if for the wildlife itself and if I need to edit a branch out I will, rather than bait the animal to get it in a better position.. . Are they staged? Well if you consider having bird feeders and perches in the yard as staging than yes, I stage feeder birds. I do not stage others as that requires baiting practices that I don't approve of such as throwing mice out for raptures and such.. . Do I use calls? Yes, I have used calls very sparingly in early spring. More often, I will use phishing. Phishing, for those who don't know, is a generic call that sparks the curiosity of most birds. Birders use phishing to bring birds in for a closer look. . . I consider photography to be an art form and at times I will heavily process an image to express it the way I want to, and it will be very obvious. . .
