I worked in the healthcare and public health industry for more than a decade as a manager, community outreach professional, social worker and strategic consultant. With the United Nations and Word Health Organization I contributed to improve maternal and childcare health (MCH) among vulnerable communities; with Escorts Heart Institute I managed health camps. After working in a seniors’ home in southern Ontario, I supported the integration of people with disabilities through my work with Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa where I served as a social worker for seven years. With partners, I have built a tech start-up, a long-time dream of ours! Recently, I have been helping people in Eastern Ontario get appropriate healthcare services through my consultancy with Access Healthcare where I provided strategic development advice and government relations support.
