Detailed description is Each year, the NC Epsilon chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon hosts the annual Davidson Turkey Trot, a 5K walk/run that benefits the Free Clinic of Our Towns at the Ada Jenkins Center. . . The Free Clinic of Our Towns is a community-wide volunteer organization dedicated to optimizing the health of those in need in the north Mecklenburg and south Iredell region. The primary goal of the clinic is to provide free medical care for the uninsured. General medical care is available to all ages for both acute and chronic problems. The program offers an array of services from nurse assessments, lab work, medication management, and patient education.. . Our chapter hopes to continue this tradition for the 7th consecutive year this fall. This year's event will take place on Saturday, November 19th at 10:00 am on the Town Green in Davidson. We had about 200 participants last year and raised over $5,000, and hope to surpass that number this year.. . If you are interested in joining us for the run, you can register online at www.active.com and search “Davidson Turkey Trot.” Online registration is $15 and race day registration is $20. . . We are also accepting donations in support of the Free Clinic. Sponsorship opportunities are available at $100. We will gratefully acknowledge all of our sponsors with a donor honor role at the start/finish line.
