I began my career in applied animal behavior in the field of service dog training. I put my heart into training guide dogs for the blind alongside some of the industry's best; here I learned a great deal not only about animal behavior but about the human-animal connection. I went on to train hearing dogs for the deaf, loving and learning every minute. I've ventured onto the animal control side of the field, assisted in veterinary hospitals, professionally groomed dogs and cats. I've spoken on behavior at training conferences, animal shelters and schools in addition to putting on presentations regarding awareness about service animals. I am a nationally certified positive reinforcement pet trainer through the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers and I am a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. I also hold certification through the National Animal Control Association. Through all of this experience and experimentation, working with pet owners who want to fulfill the potential of their relationship with their pets has become my passion.
