Detailed description is Skar Image Lab provides High Quality Printing, Film Digitisation & Retouching with a Personalised Service for Visual Artists. I (Sanji Karu) operate and manage Skar Image Lab which provides technical services for Artists, Graphic Designers & Photographers, primarily inkjet printing, film scanning and retouching. I produce prints and scans for personal work, exhibitions, commercial work & portfolios. I provide a personalized service for my clients ensuring that their requirements are met. The advantage of working with me is that you are communicating to the person that is going to produce your work. You need not rely on the front counter person or salesperson to relay the information across to the technician.. . I take great care and attention to detail when producing your work, using antistatic & cotton gloves when handling prints and negatives, acid free tissue paper for packing prints, anti static natural hair brushes for cleaning prints, grounded antistatic film cleaner & a climate control studio space.. . The main reason I started my lab services is that I enjoy working with Artists, Designers & Photographers and the conversations about their work. This is reminiscent of my time at Unitec when I was doing my Bachelor in Design & Visual Arts, where I started to use the printers, scanners & darkroom. I found myself teaching other students how to operate these machines and at time students would ask me to help them with the printing or scanning. I really enjoy the technical and conceptual side of producing work and being part of the creative process.
