Detailed description is Sojourn Arts Spaces, Curtorial Collaboration Sojourn Art Spaces is a curatorial collaboration that focuses on both the aura and transformative properties of site specific installations. Each month SAS facilitates the conversion of non-gallery spaces into a venue for contemporary artists. The artist is given a month to design a piece for their specific location. The piece exists for an indeterminate amount of time and is either destroyed or disintegrates. This process is used to ensure that the unique relationship between the piece and viewer is preserved.. . In addition to site specific installations, SAS curates exhibitions with emerging local artists in non-traditional gallery settings. In these unique curatorial ventures SAS attempts to bridge the gap between viewer, artist and curator. Doing so brings more exhibition opportunities for artists as well as more exposure for the artistic community.. . Sojourn Art Spaces is currently exploring the venues of the inter-web. . . .
