Detailed description is A non-profit group dedicated to the conservation, protection, and enhancement of wildlife and habitat in eastern Prince Edward Island. The Souris & Area Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation (SABPEIWF) is a non-profit organization in north eastern Kings County. As a chapter of the P.E.I Wildlife Federation, which is a chapter of the Canadian Wildlife Federation, our organization serves to protect, conserve and enhance wildlife and habitat. . SABPEIWF has been in existence since 1954. There are approximately 200 active members of varying backgrounds in our organization served by a volunteer Board of Directors. . . Our management area is approximately 62, 000 hectares which includes approximately 30 watersheds. Many of our watersheds boast some of the most pristine natural areas on Prince Edward Island supporting a range of wildlife. Noteworthy, some of our watersheds boast the most productive runs of Atlantic salmon in the province. . .
