Detailed description is The SDSU Nutrition and Dietetics Internship (NDI) is a master's degree graduate program, combined with 1,200 hours of supervised practice. The SDSU Nutrition and Dietetics Internship (NDI) is a master's degree graduate program, combined with 1,20 hours of supervised practice, accepting a maximum of 15 interns per year. Interns will receive experiences in management rotations (320 hours), clinical (400 hours), community (400+ hours), research (40 hours), special projects and related didactic experiences (40 hours). The concentration area for the SDSU NDI is community nutrition. Integrated within their community experiences, interns will engage in: *utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to complete a community needs assessment involving an area of nutrition, health and wellness or physical activity, *utilizing needs assessment findings and a theoretical framework for planning, implementing, evaluating and sustaining a program, and *providing at least one component of a community-driven program, assess outcomes and document impact.
