My first experience with Chiropractic came as a teenager when I was injured in a motorcycle accident. I was impressed by the logic of the treatment. My injuries were resolved with a hands-on approach without the use of drugs.. I attended college with an engineering major, but soon after realized how important it was for me to work helping people. I finished my pre-med, pre-requisites and attended Western States Chiropractic College. I recieved my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1981. Because I was involved in numerous sports, I focused on my training of sports injuries. In 1990 I became a certified Sports Practioner. My studies took me to China in 1991, where I studied at the Olympic Training Center in Bejing, China. There I witnessed the olympic trainers performing hands-on therapy to resolve the athletes' injuries.. I believe the same kind of treament professional athletes receive should be the norm for all my patients. I use extensive physiotherapy procedures, massage, trigger point therapy, and chiropractic ajustments to resolve my patients' conditions. . In my 29 years of practice, I have had the priviledge of treating Olympic athletes, a pitcher for the River Cats baseball team, a rock climbing champion, many body builders, amateur athletes, and weekend warriors. However, my practice consists of not only the sports enthusiast, but also, the grandmother with arthritis who wants to keep up with her grandchildren, the computer analyst that is experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome, the mom with headaches, and the truck driver with low back pain. In my continuing effort to provide the finest in natural healthcare for my patients, I began a 30 year study of clinical nutrition. My course work included 320 hours of clinical nutrition in the treament of internal disorders. I have found that most patients have a desire to improve their health, but just don't know how. I am commited to working with each patient to restore and maintain their good health and well-being. I believe that each individual is capable of achieving wellness and that each patient's future should be an active and healthy one. .
