Detailed description is Spanish Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Juan County, Utah, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 181. But on almost all maps of the area, and especially in local usage, the name identifies the geographic valley that extends south of the city of Moab. The majority of the valley, and the majority of the population living in it, lies within Grand County the northern neighbor to San Juan County. Only the southern-most third of Spanish Valley lies within San Juan County, and it is the least populated.GeographySpanish Valley is located at .According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 14.3 square miles, all of it land.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 181 people, 74 households, and 54 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 12.7 people per square mile (4.9/kmยฒ). There were 78 housing units at an average density of 5.5/sq mi (2.1/kmยฒ). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.24% White, 2.21% Native American, and 0.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.10% of the population.
