The goal of St.
Luke’s Sunday School is to assist parents in raising their children in the Christian faith.
We have classes for children three years old through the sixth grade.
Classes are held Sundays, September through May from 9:00 to 10:15.

Curriculum:.
St.
Luke’s Sunday School uses the “Kingdom Quest” Curriculum by Kids Kount Publishing.
Our Sunday school lessons are interactive and fun for the kids while they learn Bible truths and developing a relationship with Jesus! Kids will keep coming back for more! NOTE: In 2014-2015, in addition to Kingdom Quest, we will also be using the “Heaven Is For Real” curriculum.

Memory Work:.
Each child in first through sixth grade receives a memory workbook.
Learning memory work in Sunday School aids your child in confirmation later.
Each child is asked to memorize 20-21 sections.
The memory work is said to the parent and the parent signs and confirms it was completed.
Each time your child finishes a section of 5, they receive a prize.
At the end of the year children who finish their memory work receive a certificate..

Drop Off / Pick Up:.
Since interruptions can easily cause disruption for our younger kids, we ask that you are prompt in dropping your child off and picking your child up from Sunday school.
We also ask that you let us know where you will be, in case we or your child need you.
Each family is asked to fill out a card with emergency information..

Offerings:.
Offerings are collected each Sunday during class.
Special offering envelopes are given to each child to use through out the Sunday School year.
Seventy five percent of the offerings goes towards our materials, the other twenty five percent goes towards our mission for the month.

Attendance:.
Children in the lower grades receive a gold pin when they have attended Sunday School for 52 Sundays.
New, in 2014-2015, the children will play “Attendance Bingo”.
Each time they come to class, they play and once they get “BINGO”, they’ll receive a fun prize! Regular attendance will help your child to see a complete picture of what God’s love means to us, but Sunday School is not a substitute for worship services.
We encourage regular worship attendance to strengthen your faith..

Service Projects:.
We will continue to offer children the chance to show how we love one another as Jesus does by serving others.
Once a month we will devote our class time to service projects designed to show God’s love to the people around them.

The first Sunday of each month, we send home a newsletter with information geared towards parents and including a description of the mission for the month and the proceeds from the previous month.
