Detailed description is STAR is a FREE 3-day program for university bound students. Students can face many challenges as they make the move from high school to university. STAR is designed to help ease the transition and is especially beneficial for students with learning disabi Who is STAR for?. Students are invited to stay in residence, at no charge to them, to participate in the total university experience. All meals and social events are also included in the program.. . STAR is for the students who meet the following criteria:. •Recent Algoma District high school graduate. •Will be attending an Ontario university in September 2011. . . When is STAR?. STAR will take place July 6, 7 and 8, 2011.. . Tuesday, July 5 – 5:30pm: moving into residence and a welcome BBQ. Friday, July 8 - 6:00pm: moving out of residence. Each day of the program will run from 9:00am – 4:00pm.. . . Where is STAR?. All events will take place on the campus of Algoma U, in Sault Ste. Marie..
