Detailed description is Official Facebook Page. Sterling EMS provides 24/7 Advanced Life Support, Emergency Medical Services to Southern Madison and Northwest Pickaway Counties. The Sterling Joint Ambulance District is a Government Organization that is funded by taxes paid by the residents of 8 different municipalities. These are the Townships of: Pleasant, Range, Stokes, Darby, and Monroe; and the Villages of Mt. Sterling, Midway, and South Solon.. . The personnel consists of 8 members of the Board of Trustees (with one representing each township) who are non-medical response personnel.. . The medical response personnel include 8 full-time members and 40 volunteer members. Additionally, we have an EMS Chief that oversees all day-to-day operations and logistics and a Medical Director that oversees all medical operations. Both of these members are also able to respond to emergencies.
