With the recent success in his music career, it was time to focus on phase two. Hunting! . . In the Spring of 2016 Chad purchased the outfitter service he had guided at for the last 5 years. Formerly known as North Star Outfitters, Stone Prairie Outfitters was born! . . If Duck hunting is your passion, our Duck hunting is second to none! These guided hunts take place in our endless fields and over small bodies of water. Our usual morning starts between 5- 6 a.m. with hot coffee and toast. The morning shoots for Geese and Ducks usually last until mid- morning, then it is back to the lodge for a big brunch. The afternoons and evenings can be spent hunting ducks, walking for Pheasants, practicing at our trap range, or wetting a line on one of our surrounding property ponds while our guides scout for the next morning’s hunt. . . Deer Season gets everyone excited and the Deer hunting in our area is some of the most . exciting Whitetail hunting you'll ever find! Most of our action packed Whitetail hunts are spot and stalk. Hunting is done by walking into their environment, sitting atop high hills and glassing. This open country is very deceiving, as mature bucks can be hiding right before your eyes in tall . weeds, cattails, or just behind an unknown hill. There are always Deer moving around you, so . you’ll have to stay sharp. Bow tags are available over the counter and there are a very limited . number of outfitter rifle tags available. You’ll want to book these hunts early! . . Regardless of what you’re hunting, Chad is committed to making your experience at Stone . Prairie Outfitters one you will never forget. With Chad’s famous circle of friends, there is a . chance you may be sharing the lodge with a TV show, or a familiar celebrity could be shooting . ducks right next to you. Either way Chad will always have his guitar and be ready to sing a few songs in front of the fire. . . All of our guests stay at our beautifully updated lodge, which is situated on top of a hill overlooking the beautiful rolling prairies of North Dakota. Our guests can literally step off the . deck and start hunting. The lodge has over 3000 square feet of beautiful woodwork, hardwood floors and plenty of hunting décor, with mounts in all the rooms. The lodge, which is the home base for all our hunts, is located in South Central, ND. We are in the heart of the Prairie Pothole region, which is famous for its nesting grounds. These are the same nesting grounds that produce the majority of ducks in the Central and Mississippi flyways. . . Our new addition has pine vaulted ceilings, with a wood burning fireplace and satellite television . for relaxing after a long day of hunting. There are six bedrooms on the main floor with 3 . bathrooms complete with showers. The upstairs consists of one large bedroom with five beds . and bathroom. We can accommodate up to sixteen hunters comfortably at one time. All linens and towels are furnished; you need only to bring your own personal items. There is a washer and dryer at the lodge for your convenience. . . Everyone loves dinner time and we do too! All mouthwatering meals are prepared for you with . complimentary wine in the evenings. Some of the dishes you could expect to see are Goose . breast appetizers, Swedish meatballs, steaks, venison stew, chili, enchiladas, roast Turkey and of course our endless desserts. . . We have a large freezer where all your birds will be stored until your departure, after we clean . and vacuum pack them. We have a great local processor who takes care of our deer for us.
