Detailed description is Young adults building strong relationships through Godly fellowship Mission Statement: Stronghold is a group of post high school adults designed to encourage, challenge, and fortify its members in their walk with Christ their walk with Jesus Christ through biblical study, selfless service (Our main focus being locally, but Lord willing branching out in the future!), and intimate fellowship.
The name, Stronghold, comes from scripture and aligns with our desire for this group.
In that, it would not create a false sense of security in the individuals around them but for those involved to find true refuge in THE Stronghold—Jesus Christ! Our theme verse, Psalm 18:2 2, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my STRONGHOLD!” It is our desire that everything in this group points to His name alone.

Goals: Within our group we are pursuing many specific goals in our walk with Jesus.
These are a few….
1.
To have Him be the focus, direction, passion of our daily lives.
(Isaiah 26:8) .
2.
To pursue God honoring relationships with both genders and to protect and guard each other’s hearts while doing so.
(Proverbs 4:23) .
3.
To be used in our local church to impact the community around us..
4.
To grow and mature in grace and knowledge to be able to stand firm in the world around us..
5.
To have the appearance of Christ in our dress, action, and language.

To help plug those into their gifted area to help the functioning body.

Activities: There are numerous ways in which we strive to draw closer in our personal and corporate walks with Christ.
Stronghold meets on Saturdays normally at 6:30 (which varies based on the activity), but there are also openings throughout the week for fellowship.
The following is an outline of each opportunity.

Bible Study (Proverbs 7:1-3, Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 139:17-18): Held at Don and Laura Heller’s, Stronghold is currently studying through 1 Peter.
There is no one person directed to lead this study.
The desire is that each person learn how to find the “milk, bread, meat, and potatoes” in scripture on a daily basis for themselves.
Each person is encouraged to read, study, and pray over the passages throughout the week and to come with personal testimony and insight into what the Lord is teaching us through them.
These times are very personal and such a blessing to all who are diligent to spend that time on their personal relationship with Christ.

Connect (Ephesians 4:3-6): This is an activity designed to bridge the gap of age in the church and to help bring further unity throughout Grace Fellowship.
Connect is a time where Stronghold singles out a couple or family in the church and spends an afternoon with them.
We bring dinner for the family and all we ask in return is that they share their personal salvation testimony and any other wisdom, conviction, or encouragement going on in their continuing walk.
This allows us as young adults to connect with the other adults to hopefully encourage another source of lasting friendship and discipleship therefore bringing strength and unity in our local body so we can be used most effectively to bring glory to Him..

Service (Romans 12:5-8): Since we are the body of Christ we are called to serve and act as such.
Our service times are varied in application but carry the same goal throughout—to serve in a tangible way those in need in our local body.
This has entailed many different opportunities like painting, cleaning, cutting wood, and helping moving.
There are also numerous members skilled in areas such as HVAC, Welding, and Automotive repair that are willing to serve anytime.
This is an area of our group we are trying to incorporate more frequently.
We do not feel that this should be limited to those whom only attend Grace Fellowship, but it is our desire that the body use us as a tool to reach out to those in our community.
So if there is a need you are aware of please let us know so we can try to plug someone in to fill it and bring glory to His name..

Fun (1 John 1:7): Stronghold is not simply a fun alternative to worldly pursuits, but that does not mean we do not have fun.
I believe the freedom we share in Christ allows us to experience this at a totally different level than the rest of the world.
Therefore we periodically schedule times to just enjoy spending time with each other.
Some of the activities we have planned in the past have been walleyball, biking/hiking, mini golf, movie nights, bon fires, fishing, ice hockey games, holiday parties, and game nights..
