I got into suit hire for a few different reasons, however the driving factor for me to get into this business was one extremely obvious gap in the suit hire market.. . I’ve been in fashion retail in one way or another for 20+ years, and during that time I became known to my friends as the person to ask for style advice and direction, when it came to buying new clothes.. . As a few of my friends started to get engaged, they came to me for advice on what to wear for their wedding and to put the groomsmen in.. After visiting several stores around Auckland, it was a surprise to me that the only suits on offer (hire) we’re old fashioned and out dated styles!. Since most of my friends wore suits to work, their work suits were of far better quality and cut (although not suitable as a wedding suit, and really, who wants to get married in their work uniform?) compared to what the hire options were available in the market at the time.. . So, I saw a huge gap in the market, and SUIT SOURCE was born.. . My aim is to provide modern, slim fitting suits in colours and styles that keep up with current trends. I’ve spent a long time sourcing suits from different suppliers; I don’t select my suits on how many dry-cleans they can withstand, I select them on how well they look and fit, and I’ve now found what I believe to be the perfect selection of cuts, fabrics and colours that are able to fit a broad range of men’s shapes and sizes.. .
