Sunny Days owner, Jenny Gaines-Rattray started caring for children when she first opened her first private daycare centre in her home in 2002. Over the years, Jenny gained a lot of experience, not only raising her own children, but caring for approximately six to eight other children at a time that spent their days at her home. . . In 2009, Jenny opened up Sunny Days Children’s Centre in Nashwaaksis, a lifelong dream of hers. The centre opened on July 5, 2009. The centre opened with 35 children, primarily under the age of 7. In July 2010, Jenny and her team expanded the centre to include an after-school program next door to the original centre. The after-school program became an instant success, attracting approximately 43 more children every afternoon. . . Now, Sunny Days Children’s Centre has become one of the larger and more successful childcare operations in the Fredericton area.
