Eduardo Diaz, born and raised in his native land of Puerto Rico, has been serving the Ballroom and Latin community in the CSRA since 2003. With extensive training in Ballroom and Latin dances , Mr. Diaz specializes in the contagious dance of Salsa. With his passion for this dance, Eduardo competed and won the U.S. Salsa Open Competition in the “On-2” division and is known for making the salsa scene what it is here in Augusta, GA. He currently performs and competes with his students in Ballroom and Latin Competitions. Mr. Diaz teaches and performs nationwide at Salsa Congresses. Known for his energetic presence in the studio and on the stage, Eduardo is also known for his creative social dancing and Choreography. Eduardo, owner and founder of A&E Dance Studio is now teaching in two different locations, A&E Dance Studio in Aiken, SC and Superior Salsa Academy in Evans GA, making him one of the most popular dance instructors in the area.. . Cristell Reyes, Dance Instructor and Coordinator. . Cristell Reyes is a mezzo-soprano, voice instructor, dancer and choreographer who began her music studies in her native land of Puerto Rico at the Escuela Libre de Música de San Juan. Upon graduating, she began her formal studies at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, with soprano Enid Gonzalez and baritone Justino Diaz. In 2002, she performed with the Conservatory chorus in a music festival held in Tuscany, Italy. Ms Reyes also performed with professional opera choruses with the Teatro de la Ópera and Ópera de Puerto Rico. Ms Reyes débuted in the role of Doña Ceveriana in the zarzuela, La Verbena de la Paloma with the Fundación Puertorriqueña de Zarzuela y Opereta. In the United States, she performed with several professional opera choruses including the: Orlando Opera Company, Vero Beach Opera Company, and Augusta Opera Company. Ms Reyes founded Voces Líricas Del Mundo (a Spanish division of the Orlando Opera Co) in August of 2007 and débuted as La Curandera in the opera buffa (comic opera) La Historia De Aquel Que Se Casó Con Mujer Muda by Alberto Guidobaldi. Ms Reyes currently resides in Augusta, Georgia where she performed the role of the novice in the opera Suor Angelica with The Augusta Opera Company and also performed in Speak Easy at the Ballroom Dance Center Showcase. Other professional appearances in Augusta area where at the: Augusta Choral Society, Most Holy Trinity Choir, Musical Theatre Workshops, Augusta State University Music Department, and Harry Jacob Foundation. Cristell is studying opera with Dr. Linda Banister. After taking formal dance instruction for the last 4 years local studios in town notice Ms Reyes talent for dancing and about a year ago she has added a rigorous training as dance teacher of Ballroom, Salsa, West Coast Swing, and Argentine Tango dances, with two local studios Ballroom In Motion and A&EDance studio. At the moment Cristell keep her self very busy with our two locations: Superior Salsa Academy in Evans G.A. and A&E Dance Studio in Aiken S.C. where she teach all the styles of dancing and specialize in the passionate Argentine Tango making her the youngest Tanguera in town specialize in these dance.
