I'm a Photographer, country girl, wife, mother, crafty enthusiast, web developer & graphic designer with a love of capturing beautiful moments!. . The best part of being a portrait photographer is preserving special moments in people’s lives. But there doesn’t need to be a special occasion to have your portrait taken. Sometimes it is simply the love that you feel for your family, or that your little ones are growing up so fast and you want to capture that moment in time. . . I am a wife & mother to two amazing little girls, one of whom has taken us on a journey into the world of Autism. Our youngest inspires me to open my heart and mind to the journey that so many parents are challenged with when they have a child with special needs.. . There are many parents of children with special needs who may not take them to get their photos or family portraits done very often due to the challenges that may present when trying to capture these memories they cherish. I'm not sure how many photographers take the time to help these families, provide and use different methods of ABA, vestibular and proprioceptive stimulation to achieve a calmer, more focused subject who isn't upset by the process of having their photos taken. I believe a session should be organic and that these children should be allowed to be themselves, run freely. I believe that providing these children as well as their parents with love, support and understanding will set me apart from my fellow Photographers. I've been there (I'm going through this journey too!) and I TRULY do understand. :). . There are children with Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, PDD-NOS and other special needs and parents who need a Photographer who can help them capture beautiful memories and help to make it such an enjoyable experience. . . I hope to become a Photographer who can share my understanding with families. Families who wish to capture these special years and memories without any added pressures to conform to societal expectations of a typical photo session. I want to combine my passion for special education and my love of creating exceptionally unique images through Photography.
