Clothing Hey y'all!! I'm Kristin from SweetSussies.
Here's a little bit about me and my shop!.
I am a Texas born, Arkansas raised, momma of one who pretends to be crafty in my free time! I love God, my son, spending time with my boyfriend, the Razorbacks, playing soccer, Mexican food, anything Gossip Girl, and working out.
Definitely in that order..
I started my little "Shop" two years ago through Instagram just as a hobby.
I owe so much credit to my best friend Megan who nagged me for years to "open an Etsy shop!" but was always nervous and skeptical to dive right into it with little to no business experience.
So I went for the next best thing.
"Why don't I just create an Instagram, make and sell a few things here and there to my friends and family and see where it goes?" So that's what I did.

Starting SweetSussies was a great way for me to do what I love while being home with Griffin and earning a little extra money along the way.
(Someone's gotta support that boy's train addiction! ��) I love to paint and I spend endless nights on Pinterest just looking for the next thing I can try to re-create.
My mom and sister definitely keep me in business and are my best customers, always finding something they just NEED to have in their houses or classrooms.
I have painted all sorts of things including classroom door hangers, wedding signage, holiday decor, seasonal door hangers for houses, hospital door hangers, nursery decor, pallet signs, you name it I've probably painted it!.
This past Christmas I was gifted a Cricut from my momma! So I have expanded my projects to Clothing and vinyl decals! I'm always looking to customize/personalize/monogram pretty much whatever I can get my hands on!.
What is a "Sussie?" (suh-see) I seem to get asked that a lot.
Or "How did you choose your shop name?" Well in my family we grew up calling surprises "sussies".
So any time we get a gift, or present, or any kind of surprise we call it a sussie.
So that's where the name comes from..
