Detailed description is Tarleton State University's Equine Program is a four year curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with an equine emphasis. Qualifying students may also apply for the Certificate in Equine Science program. The program is designed to provide students with both the academic and practical knowledge needed to have a career in the horse industry.. . The TSU Equine Center covers 75 acres and includes a covered arena with 30 stalls, a breeding barn, stallion barn, classroom, and lab areas along with turnout paddocks and pasture. The Equine Center is used for classes, other academic events, judging contests as well as being available for public rental.. .
