Team Mill Hollow is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization comprised of former Mill Hollow staff members and students. The Board of Directors is made up of volunteers who donate their time and talents to ensure the program remains viable for years to come.. . The mission of the Mill Hollow Outdoor Science Education center is to provide pedagogically sound educational opportunities for elementary school children in a hands-on outdoor laboratory to enhance their knowledge of astronomy, biology, ecology, geology, chemistry, physics, and conservation. . . The Mill Hollow Outdoor Science Education Center is a seasonal summer camp facility located in the High Uinta mountains at 8,900 feet above sea level. In a unique arrangement with the US Forest Service, Team Mill Hollow has been allowed to lease land for the sole purpose of educating elementary school students in multiple unique and pedagogically sound ways. Since 1964 over 115,000 students have attended Mill Hollow to be scientifically instructed in a natural laboratory, supplementing their book learning and providing access to the High Uinta mountain range in an unrivaled outdoor learning experience. Students are led through the Utah wilderness by qualified teachers and learn about the delicate balance of ecosystems and nature as well as the forces that create our environment.
