Detailed description is At the Bearded Frog Berry Patch we offer U-pick and pre-picked berries for sell. We have 300 to 400 Black Raspberry plants and always welcome your visit! Welcome to The Bearded Frog Berry Patch! . Our family comes from a long line of farmers and have grown corn, soybeans and hogs for several generations. Our family settled in Clinton County in the mid 1830's and settled on the ground that is now Clinton Central School Corporation. Eventually our great-grandfather moved to the Beard area of Clinton County and his son(our grand father) purchased the farm we are on now. The farm has been in our family since the 1950's and we are the 3rd generation owner's and 4th generation farmer's to work this land. We love the opportunity to be good stewards of the land and enjoy our farm life. . Our name "The Bearded Frog" comes from two very small towns (not even map dots) that are near our farm. The town of Beard and the other Frog Town. We felt this was a fun way to represent our new venture as well as get a few good laughs! We're a fun bunch here at The Bearded Frog! . . Why Black Raspberries?. . My family and I have always raised Corn, Soybeans, and hogs on our farm. My brother and I now farm together along with his wife Crystal and their daughter Claire(berry picker in the making). A few years ago, I read an article on Raspberries and I have wondered/debated on starting a small patch to see if there would be a market and more importantly if they would survive here in Indiana.In the fall of 2012, I decided to try it out and luckily my brother and sister-in-law were glad to be a part of it also! 2014 was our very first true season, and boy did we truly enjoy it!
