We are a group of moms that want to provide support, encouragement, and friendship, so that we can be the best moms for our kids physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Happy moms can be better moms. Women have found community through MOPS for almost 40 years, and there are chapters that meet all around the world. While our children are cared for by qualified, experienced childcare workers and get to play with kids their age, we discuss topics relevant to mothers, listen to speakers, make crafts, and relax with one another with a cup of coffee and breakfast!. . Who can join?. MOPS is open to any mother in the community with children ages birth through kindergarten. Mothers of all faith backgrounds are welcome to join, and do not have to attend Jacksonville Chapel to participate. . . Friday mornings from 9:30am-11:30am at Jacksonville Chapel in Lincoln Park, NJ. . . Thursday mornings & Monday nights: there will also be an in-depth discussion group (Growing in God) which will meet every Thursday morning for those who want to delve deeper into selected topics. (Thursdays 9:15-11:15, Mondays 7-8:45). . Each mom is encouraged to select one group that best fits her needs.. . What is MOPPETS?. MOPS is designed to give moms a break for 2 hours so they can enjoy a little “me time” – time to be free of mommy responsibilities, enjoy uninterrupted time with other moms, and get refreshed! We provide childcare for newborns through 5 years old. Nursery care is provided for the babies, and ages 2-5 years old enjoy a fantastic preschool-like program with Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks, and open play time. While mothers of newborns are welcome to keep their babies with them during the meeting, we encourage all moms to visit the nursery and consider bringing your baby there by 6 months old. This allows for you to get the most out of the morning and get a break to enjoy time to yourself. Many of our child care workers are mothers themselves and have had background checks and training. Each mother is given a buzzer and if your child is needs you, you will be notified. Kids love MOPPETS and will enjoy this time just as much as you enjoy your time!. . How can I join?. Everyone is welcome to visit a meeting before registering. If you decide to become a MOPS member, there is a $75 yearly fee which includes a book, curriculum for the year, crafts, and childcare. . .
