As well as Party Packages or Weekly 1 hour and 15 minute Art Classes for children ages 5-17. Children learn pencil drawing, pastel work, painting with water colors and acrylics, as well as mixed media projects.. 4 Classes $95. Other days, we might write poetry to go with our drawing, and present it to the class for discussion on its meaning for existence. Classes at the Heart of the Art are a meditative experience, which is the essence around which the creative process revolves. Other than introspective discussions regarding art and its meaning, children also learn about the principles of light and shade, about the use of materials, color theory, art history, and proper composition. . My name is Saima Yousuf, I am a professional artist and I've had five years experience teaching children. I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from The College of New Jersey with honors. I offer small, private art classes for adults as well as children, at my studio conveniently located in Hamilton, NJ.
