Opening in October 2011, The Lounge will be the next addition to the ever-expanding Students’ Union at York, and will be the newest bar to open on campus. The Lounge will provide students with a modern, stylish and more sophisticated venue to drink in, something not before seen at York.. . Located in the Roger Kirk Centre, The Lounge is the result of an extensive refurbishment and will offer a wide range of drinks to match. The Lounge will be home to the most premium drinks selection available on campus including draught San Miguel; Bombay Sapphire and Talisker to name just a few as well as a full cocktail and bomb list. We will also be providing delicious, rustic pizzas cooked to order and available every night.. . The Lounge will be the perfect addition to campus to suit any occasion. Whether it’s a quiet drink with friends or the starting point for a big night out, The Lounge will cater to all audiences and requirements. If you’re a sports fan, The Lounge will become only the second venue on campus to offer Sky Sports ensuring that you’ll never miss a crucial game at university.. . We are also pleased to announce that The Lounge will become the new home to York’s 150 societies. Offering exclusive packages for societies to choose from when organising socials be it the start of a bar crawl, society events or the use of our bookable, private space for elections, The Lounge will be the perfect place for your societies to meet and socialise.. .
