We can not only refinish a piece of furniture you need redone from home, we also redo pieces we find along the way.

We also do a number of different styles and sizes of wooden signs, which are all clear coated so they're safe to be outside, unless otherwise specified, and attached to the back will be a way to hang your items! We hand paint all of our items and if you have any questions let us know!.

Little Bit About Me.

Well to start off I am a wife, mother and daughter here in good ole' New Bern, NC.
I started out by refinishing old furniture almost 2 years ago and I would paint occasional canvas' for people who requested a certain design.
I was still working full time at the hospital here in our tiny little town and was waiting to hear if I FINALLY got in the Nursing program at our tiny little college or any of the other 5 surrounding colleges that also offered the same program....I mean this was the third year in a row I've applied.
When the time finally came and I received those letters in the mail one after another of denial, I felt like I was down this long confusing hallway and ever single door was slamming shut.
At this point in my life my "paintings and orders" at home had picked up quite a bit and I thought ok God...what are you telling me because I'm apparently not listening to you.
With this still small voice I felt like this was the right path to be on, for me, for right now.
When I finally opened my eyes and more importantly my heart I realized what He had been trying to show me all along.
I'm not saying Nursing School isn't for me period but it's clearly not for me right now, God has different plans.
All I could think was why am I beating down this door with "Nicole Benjamin R.N" on it scratching, bleeding and crying when I know God has it shut for a reason and whatever His reasoning is, I know He's right.
I loved being able to comfort and care for my patients and their families, after all no one wakes up and says, "I want to go spend a couple weeks at the hospital" EVER.
Being with those patients and families made my soul so happy but I realized I can do the same kind of ministry right here with my work, with my attitude each and every day...sometimes even in my jammies.
Painting and learning about old furniture and bringing it back to life is something I enjoy with every single bit of my soul.
It is never something I thought could be my career but as long as God keeps blessing us and opening doors for us, I know I am right where He wants me.
My goal is to open up a store one day or renovate early 1900 homes.
I know that sounds like two opposite ends of the spectrum but with my artwork taking something old like reclaimed wood that most people throw away, and making it something remarkably beautiful is what I LOVE to do.
So incorporating that in homes is a much larger scale of what I currently do but that is my new dream.
Although I'm sure God laughs when we tell Him all of our big plans and goals because at the end of the day He's in control anyway and in my world I am just fine with that..
Policy on Custom Orders.

After we discuss what your order will be, I will type up an itemized and detailed statement stating exactly what we are doing including any and every detail.
You will then look over it make sure everything is correct.
After you sign and are then required to put down 50% which is a non refundable deposit of your order.
If you do not live locally I will mail this to you and when I receive your signed itemized bill, I will get to work! This ensures your materials are covered as well as my hiney..
The day of the delivery if you decide its not what you want you are not required to pay any more money but do not get your deposit back or any items in that order.
If you love it you pay the other half the day of the delivery once you have your items.
