Detailed description is The Woodrunner School of Self-Reliance was created to guide individuals through the process of developing the skills that were once vital to living as our ancestors did and as many indigenous peoples still do today.. . . Founded in 2016, The Woodsrunner School of Self-Reliance was established to help anyone who enjoys the outdoors and spends any amount of time in it. If you are a hiker, camper, hunter, fisherman, prepper, survivalist, traveler, live off grid or anyone who wants to see what nature can offer we have a structured course curriculum starting with basic wilderness/ survival skills and progressing all the way to advanced courses. Even if you have never spent any time out in the “wild” you might just surprise yourself on what you can learn to do.. . The courses cover many different skills that anyone can learn. Our instructors have compiled the curriculum that comes from their knowledge acquired through years of experience in the military, law enforcement, bush-crafting, hunting, fishing, camping, and most importantly spending countless hours of “dirt time” outdoors. Some of the conditions they endured have been less than hospitable so learning to adapt has been the hallmark of how they teach these courses.. . Our courses and workshops are designed to not only show or tell information but to work hands on with students through practice and repetition. From the time they step on the property, they will meet with instructors and staff that care. It is our goal to help every student on his or her path to becoming self-reliant.. .
