For many, an intervention is the last resort is the last resort to help guide a loved one to treatment through a firm, but loving process known as an intervention. An intervention works best when facilitated by an experienced interventionist, who carefully works with loved ones over several sessions to prepare them for the actual intervention. Arrangements are previously made for a treatment facility to accept the loved one as soon as the individual makes their choice to begin the recovery process. Interventions offer hope for the family and the loved one. Interventions work and most importantly... interventions save lives!!. . CASEY'S LAW - Casey's Law refers to the Matthew Casey Wethington Act for Substance Abuse Intervention. It became effective in the state of Kentucky on July 13, 2004 and was inspired by Casey's death of a heroin overdose at the age of 23. It was created for families who love someone with a drug/alcohol addiction and it creates the opportunity for recovery and survival from the addiction to be much more likely. The law allows the parents, relatives, or friends of an addicted person to lawfully intervene and request involuntary, court-ordered addiction treatment for their loved one. Statistics show that people who are legally required to complete treatment by court order can be equally as successful as those who enter voluntarily. If you feel Casey's Law is an appropriate vehicle for getting your loved one the help they need, then we strongly encourage you to move forward with your decision and contact us.
