Detailed description is I would like to share photos, ideas and progress we're making as we slowly turn our overgrown property back into a productive farm.
In 2004 my then girlfriend and I moved back to my home community to escape the noise and violence of the city.

Since then, we've gotten married, and decided to start a family..
With the rise in food and fuel costs, the value of hard-work and self sufficiency we can pass on to our children, and the rising trend of growing your own food, we've decided to take that anachronistic leap and re-build our neglected farm.

Much of the property has been set aside as hay ground for my parents farm, but there is about 10 acres not able to be used in this manner due to the dense overgrowth of hedge trees and run-down hog facilities (not the confinement barns...this operation pre-dates the move to total confinement).
This transformation will certainly take years to accomplish, and we'll certainly hit some speed bumps along the way.
Hopefully, as we enjoy successes and learn from mistakes, our readers can enjoy and learn as well.
