He was taped up in a cardboard box with another much smaller cat, Rapunzel, and left in the shelter lobby. At first we thought the box was full of donations of computer paper, cat treats, etc. but then the box meowed. We were shocked to see what was inside; 2 cats Tiny and Rapunzel.. . During his initial health check Tiny weighed in at 30.2 lbs, the largest cat we have ever seen! Concerned about his health we are putting Tiny on a diet and are hoping to inspire others.. . Your donations to Tiny's Weight Loss Challenge will go to a special medical fund to help special needs animals like Tiny at the Fredericton SPCA. Tiny's special canned diet food is estimated to cost $4 - $5 a day, as well he will need regular vet check-ups and could require extensive testing. . . Already Tiny's Fund has helped 2 senior female dogs Rita and Kya who needed spay surgeries that because of their age are more extensive and expensive surgeries, they also required some mammary gland tumor removal and post-op care at a cost of roughly $1,200 each.
