Detailed description is Tolono Park District was founded in 1975, and is currently working on obtaining funds to develop the East Side park, making a total of 3 parks and 5 ball diamonds. We have 3 parks in Tolono, yes 3! There is West Side with all of our baseball diamonds, Shipley with some playground equipment and a basketball court, and East Side which is home to the Soccer fields and is in progress of getting grants to improve. West Side being the main park here also offers 2 lighted tennis courts, 1 lighted basketball court, 2 pavilions available to be rented for parties or other events, 3 baseball diamonds (Small Diamond, Big Diamond, and Mary Kate Fied) all of which are lighted, a concessions stand, 1 gazebo also able to be rented, an enclose tots play area, a larger play ground for the older children, a smaller play area for the younger children, Also West Side is home to the Tolono Fun Day held the last weekend in June every year, and so much more!
