The Schmidt brothers have been farming Dudley Avenue since 1979. The hard pan free, rich soil off of Dry Creek Canal produces delicious fruits & vegetables. Tomatoes and lemon cucumbers are the summer specialty, kale and arugula are winter specialties. . . In 2012, lead by Nolan Schmidt the commercial farming began. With strong support from brothers Jordan & Kiel as well friends of the family. A labor force of love, feeding the neighborhood. . . Plants grow well in the valley sun and soil; so did our farm. We grow all natural but are not a certified organic farm. . . Other projects include: The Urban Orchard and government advocacy to support urban farming and healthy communities.
