Detailed description is Trinity Baptist Church. Services:. Sunday School 9:15. Worship 10:30. Sunday Evening 6:00. Wednesday Evening 7:00 For several years people in this community had been interested in having a church established. In the fall of 1924 a brush arbor was built in which to have a revival. Much enthusiasm was shown, and on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1924, Trinity Baptist Church was organized with 24 charter members, in the home of Ernest Bowman. To emphasize its missionary nature and its cooperative spirit an offering of $24 was given that day for the Thomasville Baptist Orphanage, now known as "Mills Home.". . On December 14, 1924, at a called conference, Rev. O.F. Barnes, the first pastor, gave plans for the building and also for organizing a Sunday School. Meetings continued in the Bowman home until the sanctuary was built. The Sunday School was organized on the last Sunday the last Sunday of May, 1925.. . The church building was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1927. A new addition to the building was added in 1954. An Educational Building was completed in 1967, and a new sanctuary was dedicated on May 17, 1979.
