Detailed description is Does your child struggle with reading, speech, language, or some other related literacy deficits, such as dyslexia? If so, you’ve come to the right place! Trinity Speech, Language and Learning Center was founded by Richard Reese in 2006. When Richard felt led to open a private practice and serve children in a clinical setting, Gardendale appeared to be the ideal location. Given the growth in the North Jefferson County area and the family-oriented environment, Richard hoped the practice would meet the needs of the growing community. Trinity Speech, Language and Learning Center officially opened on July 5, 2006.. . The center is able to provide diagnostic testing and therapy for speech, language, and reading difficulties. Children are served on an individual basis while family members view the session by closed-circuit television. When applicable, health insurance may be used to cover expenses. All patient information is kept confidential following the guidelines of HIPPA. Each session is documented and parents are regularly informed of their child's therapy performance and progress. . The center’s goal is to provide the most effective and reliable methods of treatment for individual patient’s needs. The speech-language pathologists strive to maintain a standard of excellence which they hope will be a blessing to the children and families served.. . Richard Reese, M.S., CCC-SLP - Richard received his Master of Science degree in Speech-Langauge Pathology from the University of Montevallo. Prior to opening Trinity Speech, Language, and Learning Center, Richard worked in the school system. Richard has experience working with a wide range of speech, language, and reading difficulties, including hearing impairments, phonological and functional speech deficits, stuttering, comprehension and expressive language challenges, and reading and writing deficits. Richard participated in the Alabama Reading Initiative as a presenter for the ARI Vocabulary Development module used to train teachers in school systems. Richard also worked briefly as an ARI Reading Specialist. Richard is trained in Orton-Gillingham techniques to assist children with dyslexia.. . Martha Davis, M.S., CCC-SLP - Martha received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo. Martha has had experience with treating both children and adults in various settings. Martha has treated children of various ages with a wide range of speech and language needs, including early intervention, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, expressive and receptive language disorders, phonological processing disorders, and feeding disorders. In the hospital and rehabilitation settings, Martha also has served adult patients with cognitive-linguistic impairments, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, traumatic brain injuries, and dysphagia. Martha’s special interest lies in early intervention treatment for children ages birth to three years of age
