Detailed description is Twisted Strait Fibers is a cooperatively owned fiber mill operating on the Olympic Peninsula of the State of Washington. Twisted Strait Fibers currently exists in the imagination of several fiber enthusiasts on the Olympic Peninsula. Our goal is to create a cooperatively owned, full service fiber-processing mill somewhere on the North Olympic Peninsula.. . We decided on a Cooperative business model for several reasons. The biggest reason is that none of us have the amount of capital it takes to start a mill. A cooperative allows for many people to. do what one person cannot do alone. Those of you who are adding value to your fiber for resale will be able to be a part-owner of the process and participate in the profit. And, as a member, you will. also have a vote in how things are run. It will be Your Mill.. . We all have a strong sense of community and want to support our local fiber producers and fiber artists in any way we can. Our vision also includes purchasing fiber from our local producers to create our own line of locally branded products. . . We would like this mill to be a source of education, a way. for you to add value to and market your products and an incubator for ideas of what to do with our wonderful fiber.. .
