Detailed description is UCO’s LGBTQIA+ Faculty and Staff Association was formed to celebrate and support LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, allies, and students. Founded in 2016, the University of Central Oklahoma’s LGBTQIA+ Faculty and Staff Association was formed to celebrate and support the lives of the entire LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff community as well as students. The Association meets monthly and offers members of Central’s LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff a chance to get acquainted with one another. The Association has seven subcommittees designed to advocate, educate, and spread awareness on the LGBTQIA+ community.
