Detailed description is Both a cultural society open to all and a friendly community for Nordic students at Kent! We always welcome potential new members to join our events! The UKC Nordic Society is both a cultural society and a friendly community for everyone with a Nordic background! We welcome all Nordic students, as well as anyone with an interest in Nordic culture!. . We are a friendly social community of people sharing similar cultural backgrounds and/or speaking Nordic languages. We offer both new and established students a chance to settle in and socialize with others going through the same phase in life and adapting to life in the UK; keeping in touch with the best parts of our cultural traditions whilst studying abroad. Cultural exchange and celebration as well as friendly socialising is our main focus! . . We arrange socials biweekly throughout the academic year: informal get-togethers, picnics, pub socials, dinners, laser tag events, celebrations of our national days and other important holidays to mention a few!. . After all, the complete University experience is not just about the academia: it is about making new friends and acquaintances, to challenge yourself and gain new perspectives on the world, and most importantly to have fun!
