Our creative team is a mix of students from different cultural and subject backgrounds ranging from media to economics to history. The station is officially affiliated with the university's School of Media, Film & Music. UniTV's facilities include a green screen studio, photographic studio, photography print room, foley and music recording suite, as well as numerous editing suites (Adobe CS 5.5, Final Cut Pro X, AVID Media Composer) and presentation rooms. . . UniTV was the first student television in the UK to win an award for university's Freshers Week coverage and to produce a video report about a students' union activity. In 2011, the station won Innovation in Student Media award from University of Sussex and several NaSTA (National Student Television Association) awards. . . UniTV members produced work for Brighton Racecourse, Brighton Dome and Cinecity Film Festival. The station has also contributed to various University of Sussex films (including graduation films). UniTV presenters have interviewed a number of high-profile people and celebrities, such as David Miliband (MP), Clement Marfo (musician), Anne Meadows (Mayor of Brighton) and Peter Tatchell (leading human rights campaigner). More recently, UniTV started to produce live online broadcasts and have engaged in projects at Brighton AMEX and TEDx Sussex.
