Detailed description is University Center for Language & Literacy, a center of Mary A. Rackham Institute, offers clinical language and literacy programs for children and adults. Language is how we connect with one another. Spoken, written, read, sung, and non-verbal — language is one of the core parts of being human and relating to the world. At UCLL, the University Center for Language and Literacy, we help you find meaningful ways to communicate, despite whatever challenges you may be experiencing. . . Through our children and adult programs we can help address challenges like speech-language developmental delays, reading barriers, dyslexia, learning disabilities and various forms of aphasia following stroke, illness or head injury. Our expertise runs the gamut of learning and literacy challenges people experience at different phases in their lives. . . UCLL is located in the Victor Vaughn building in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan - off the central campus of the University of Michigan. Our services are provided onsite. We do not have residential space available, but we can help you find accommodations for longer stay treatments, like our month-long intensive aphasia therapy sessions through UMAP. . . UCLL is part of The Mary A Rackham Institute (MARI), which provides the University of Michigan, and the Ann Arbor community, with access to healthcare professionals, speech pathologists, mental health treatment, communication difficulty treatment, and valuable social and educational resources.
